Please note I have not watched any anime for quite some time.

Last night I had a dream that I lived deep in the mountains with only a few other people.  I traveled to a secret ninja village to ask a man about 17th century Japanese roof tiles and water management.  He was very helpful and excited to explain how the tiles were designed and constructed and then we discussed fluted spouts to move water.   They were the experts because their village used the water element as the source of their ninjitsu so they had constantly flowing water all over the place.  They were also very good at agriculture and thus were a self-sustaining community.
Later in the night (in the dream), a ninja from an enemy clan came to kill some of the ninja.  She used thin garrote as a weapon.  Some of the ninja knew she was there and were waiting.  She sensed one above her through a stone floor and threw the end of the garrote line up through the stone.  It caught something above and she yanked down on the line.  At first I though it was a hand because it looked like fingers caught in the wire, but then a stone carved bust of a statue came through the floor.   The wire she was using was yanked upwards and she went with it.   The hole in the floor was only so big and she was lodged in it at the shoulders.  One of the ninja had a demon that lived in his hand (kind of like in the anime D) and it crushed the back part of her skull and ate her brains while she screamed.

ah huh

Oh I have been so lazy in not posting. -_-  Maybe I will make a resolution to post more.
Christmas eve was spent at my Aunt's house with the cousins.  It was really silly and fun.  They have the Kinect, so it was dance battle mania on Dance Central.  Full of lulz.  Went home and chatted with ninja_tech on skype and opened my presents.  My dad sent me a desktop trebuchet kit. LOL  That will be fun to put together.  I need to go to Menards and get a few little clamps before I start it.

2010 went really quickly and so much stuff happened.  It will be hard to top that one.  :)   I have my vacation time in for '11 already.  Super excited to go to Hokkaido!  My brother is getting married, too - will need to save some time for that.  *sigh* It's going to be an expensive summer. X (

Last month I bought a high efficiency furnace.  $$ oi.  I was having trouble keeping the house warm.  Turns out the circuit board that tells the fan to turn on was fried and the worst part was the heat exchanger was cracked - this is hazardous as it can fill the house with carbon monoxide.  It was either patch the problems for 1300 or just replace it.  So I went with the replacement.  Now I have a high eff. one that cuts my cost on bills and is better for the green.

Lately I have been having some insanely vivid and crazy wacky dreams. Getting fired from a farm job by a real-life co-worker (thanks Sam, you bastard), working in a professional assassin training company (who knew there were cube farms involved in that and where the hell is the vending machine).  Last night was a battle against demon hordes who took my future-daughter from me and my half-demon lover (who looked a lot like Gackt thankyougawd).  I got to wear the most badass dress in the dream.  It was full of action and neat-o.

Oh,  and last night I went to Billy Elliot: The Musical.  It was really awesome and I had a seat in the front row of the center balcony.  Gorgeous!  I have to say that the ballet bits were my favorite parts.  Maybe I should make a point to get some tickets to a ballet performance. !!

A month to the day...again.  This is a bad habit.  lol  I just haven't been in the journaling mood I guess.  It's been a vicious circle of home, work, home since Halloween.  Yuki had his knee surgery on tuesday.  He now has a new cranial cruciate ligament....or he will once the scar tissue forms.  Poor puppy.  He's got the cone on his head and is all doped up.  I have to carry him outside and up the stairs for bed time.  8 weeks of recovery time.  The vet was not able to flush out all the bladder stones, which had unfortunately formed once again.  SO that means he will have to have another surgery to get those little bastards out.  I wish they could just put a zipper in.  Girl can't afford so many surgeries!!!

Monday is my birth~day!

Going out with friends that evening then I have the rest of the week off from work.  I am thinking about making a little Thanksgiving dinner for moi.

Since my last post.  Ninja_tech requested a post.  *wink*
I had a housewarming party this past weekend.  It was nice and people showed up, which is always good.  Discovered an awesome punch recipe and got some great gifts - including the uber soft fuzzy blanket I am enjoying right now.  Not much else really in the way of news.  Yuki is scheduled for surgery near the first of the month.  2 months of recovery after that and he should be able to run and jump and play like other dogs.

I caved in and (re)joined facebook since people don't want to communicate any other way.  After missing the long old news of some friends' engagement, I decided I can't resist the change any longer.  Now I am playing the stupid games all the time. >_<

A opposed to last weekend, this one is full of productivity.  The weather is nice so finishing some outdoor projects is good.

I have evidence...Collapse )

I worked all day yesterday.  The extra money will be good since Yuki had a lot of vet bills this month.  Poor little guy.  He's a trooper though.

Last night I ordered an oven rack from the HomeDepot parts center.  One of the only things missing when I bought the house was the oven rack.  ??  I don't know and I am not sure I want to know what happened to it.  Opened the windows to let in all the nice fresh air today.  The predicted rain never came so it was unexpectedly nice.  All that fresh air made me sleepy so I took a short nap.  Ah~ afternoon naps in the breeze are the best.

Super excited to go visit ninja_tech in the spring.  I can hardly wait but it's so far in the future!!  The other day I was putting some things in order and found I still have 11,000 yen.  Yay!   I am selfishly hoping the yen dips a little bit before I go so I can get more for my dollar.

 Dir en Grey
I like it when they come and play the small clubs. <3  Last night went to First Ave and saw Dir en Grey and Apocalyptica.  DeG was amazing as usual.  Every time I see them it's Amazing.  Toshi was being all cool and tossing his sexy look at the audience.  It was almost too much for a fangirl to take.  Now, if you have not heard of Apocalyptica, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out their music.  Cello Metal my friends.  It has been a long time since I have been to a show and left it WAY more excited than when I arrived.

The only thing is I wished the sound guy would have upped Kyo's mic.  It was a little low.  They didn't do any meet n' greet this time either, which is totally understandable, but I only have to meet Shinya and Toshiya and then I will have them all!  Like pokemon.

I got a Dir en Grey hoodie just in time for cold weather.

I just wanted to say it.

Haven't posted in some time!  Went back up to the lake this weekend to pick up the rest of my chairs.  Journeyed to the land of davenports, benefit dinners, and where everyone says thee-A-ter.   The gutters have been installed on my house and I am anxiously awaiting a storm so I can see them in action!   I did have a nice time hanging out with my grandma and we got some things done in the basement (she's remodeling).  She also gave me a bitchin picture of my great x 3 grandfather and his brothers and sisters.  It's your typical old no-smiles victorian photo, but it's awesome because I know who all the people are.  Old photos for my old house.

I think I had some other things to post about, but after a crappy day and looming bills I am kind of low on positive energies.  meh.  It will pass.
